S420 High Yield Strength Round Bars

S420 steel stockholders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the India. We are suppliers of S355J2 grades in steel plate, round bar and flat bar. As an unalloyed low carbon steel grade S355J2 is supplied in the hot rolled and cold drawn conditions. The S275JO steel specifications are high yield non alloy steels. First specified in the European EN10025 standard and later published by the British Standards Institute (BSI). These standards superseded the BS4360 grades. The average minimum yield for this material is 355 N/mm², hence the name S355J2(with the 'S' giving reference to it being a structural steel).

Grade 420 stainless steel is a high-carbon steel with a minimum chromium content of 12%. Like any other stainless steel, grade 420 can also be hardened through heat treatment. It offers good ductility in its annealed state and excellent corrosion resistance properties when the metal is polished, surface grounded or hardened. This grade has the highest hardness - 50HRC - among all the stainless steel grades with 12% chromium.

Stainless steel grades that are similar to grade 420 stainless steels include martensitic steels such as the other versions of grade 420, having vanadium, sulphur and molybdenum in their composition, and the grade 440 series. Non-standard grade 420C has carbon content that is little higher than that of grade 420.

The purposes

  • To reduce slipping in concrete.
  • Increase the bond between the two materials, as reinforcing
  • They limit cracks in reinforced concrete due to stretching of bars.
The tensile stress on these bars is higher compared to the mild steel bars. We supply High Yield Deformed Bar with Grade 500 for the purpose of construction. These bars are produced in sizes ranging from 10mm to 40mm diameter.The steel bar weight is measured in metric tonnes, and we sell in bundle of 1 tonne each. It is often bent into the shapes required, but you cannot bend it below a certain minimum radius, otherwise it will crack or split. Steel bars that are used in reinforcing are also called as REBARS.

Why Deformed Bars

Using high yield deformed bar, with increased in yield strength allows engineers to use steel that is 1/2 or 1/3 the thickness and weight to do the same job. By switching to high yield, you have substantially reduced the weight of your product, which make transportation easier. In addition, the strength of bonds of deformed bars calculated should be 40% to 80% higher than that of plain round bars of same nominal size. High yield deformed bar is able to deflect more than mild steel before breaking but both materials deflect the same amount with respect to a given load.
